How Not to Lap the Nurburgring: Porsche 911 GT2 Crashes, Flips Over

Buckle up track day enthusiasts, you are about to get yet another taste of just how much of a Green Hell the Nurburgring can be. Today, we’ll be virtually sitting in a Citroen DS3 R that’s lapping the Nordschleife, all thanks to the clip below.

At a certain point, we can see a yellow Porsche 911 GT2 ahead. However, as the Frech hot hatch approaches the coupe, this loses it on the outside of a very mild high-speed right hander.

The 911 exits on the grass, hits the side barrier and then flips over. In this violent set of events, the vehicle returns to the track, but on its roof. We don’t know what the rear-engined, rear-wheel drive setup of the car meant for the driver in this case, but try not to end up like him.
