How Much Would You Bid for a Drive in 2009 Gumball 3000 Rally?

World Class Driving partners with Risi Competizione Driver Mika Salo to offer one lucky winner a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a drive that he or she will never forget.

The exclusive eBay auction gives its bidders a chance to take on the 2009 Gumball 3000 Rally with Salo's brand new Ferrari F430 Scuderia. The online charity auction mission is to extend the magical Hole in the Wall Camp experience to as many children with serious illnesses and life-threatening conditions as possible.

The lucky auction winner will drive for seven days alongside Mika Salo (winner of the 12h of Sebring in 2007 and 2009 for Risi Competizione, major 2008 victories at the 24h of Le Mans and the Petit Le Mans and replaced F1 champion Michael Schumacher after an injury took him out of the competition an raced for Ferrari in 1999).

And there is a lot more from where that came from. The Gumball 3000 Charity Auction has everything planned to the smallest detail. Depending on the winner's abilities, there will be one or two days of professional training in California, hotel accommodations (with meals included) provided by the seller.

For the Rally, the Ferrari will be outfitted with a special wrap that will protect its paint during the drive. The winner will be also "wrapped" in a full racing suit, helmet and gear provided by Oakley and signed by Mika Salo. After the 3000 mile cross county road rally, Salo will give the keys of his Scuderia to the winner.

The bidding for the WCD Gumball 3000 Charity Auction has officially started on April 13th, with an opening sum of $405,000.00. Bidding will close on April 20, at 4 PM (PDT). The age limit for the winner is 21 years. The exact drive time will depend on driving ability.

Race starts on May 1 in Los Angeles, CA and ends on May 8 in Miami, FL. The 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia will be fully serviced after the race by a professional technician team and equipped with new Pirelli tires. Fortunately, if the winner is from another state, the shipping costs of the Scuderia will be supported by the winner.

Alongside these prizes, WCD will add to the package to one of their two events ( US Tour or Road Racing), honorary membership with Risi Competizione and a complete set of Risi Competizione racing gear (driving suit, helmet, gloves and shoes).
