The last effort the company has made to achieve this goal is the association with rapper Snoop Dogg who's now promoting the Explorer in his very own way.

The 2011 Explorer is intensively promoted by the US-based manufacturer as one of the most advanced vehicles in its class, featuring numerous systems that could make it the number one solution for multiple types of buyers.

Safety for example turns the Explorer into an attractive vehicle for families, as the car is not only equipped with top-notch equipment but also snatched a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS.

"This is a Ford Motor Co. statement about how important safety is," Jim Holland, chief engineer for the Explorer, said in a statement when trying emphasize some of the safety features of the car. "What we find is, a lot of times, the passengers in the second row are children, or older people, that are more susceptible to injuries in the chest. The air bag inflates and distributes the crash load better than a single belt."
