While Ford was minding its own business at the Detroit Motor Show back in January, the company also used that period of the year to introduce two new LEGO sets, one of which is an S550 Mustang GT.
With the kits having entered the market on March 1, the time has now come to see to that pony being put together. This is exactly what the piece of footage below brings. Coming from the toy aficionados over at Nitro Bricks, the clip offers us a speed build that sees the 'Stang being put together in under three minutes.

The final result is a Blue Oval muscle car that comprises 185 pieces, so while we're not talking about a massive assembly job, this is still a fine way to pass the time. We have to mention the various bits and pieces are neatly arranged in three bags.

The Mustang GT set should also be light in terms of pricing, as the recommended retail price sits at $14.99. Those of you reading this from the Old Continent should know the price is the same in Euro.

Some of you might be curious about how people over at LEGO see this plastic goodie.

“We are excited about the new LEGO Speed Champions sets based on iconic Ford vehicles,” said Jill Wilfert, vice president, licensing and entertainment, The LEGO Group. “Each LEGO Ford car tells a story and has infinite play possibilities. With these new sets, kids can play out their ultimate car fantasies. They are able to role play and become the LEGO mini-figure, stepping into the greatest cars on earth.”

Sure, the details aren't perfect and we're talking about the resemblance to the actual car here. However, you can look at this from a different perspective - we're talking about a Mustang single-seater here, so you would expect things to be different, right?
