Sounds funny, and maybe a bit crazy, but the 2014 Dakar Rally will see a team whose name is.. 69. No, it's not Nicky Hayden going cross-country: we're dealing with a team ran by adult movies producer Marc Dorcel, and employing seasoned Dakar rider Hugo Payen.
Payen will be riding a Yamaha YZF450 and both him and his bike, and the support vehicles will bear the 69 logo and back and purple livery.
What's even more interesting for the gents (and why not, for some ladies, too) is the fact that Marc Dorcel chose adult movie star Anna Polina to be the face (and body) of the team. This means we already got some promo photos we can't show here, but more details can be found on Hugo Payen's website.
Payen and Dorcel started working together on the Dakar rally team back in 2010, in a category without road assistance. However, the 2014 Dakar, Payen's 8th and last one, will be in the pro class, just like the rest of the big boys.
I bet the expression on the by-standers' faces will be priceless as they see Anna Polina on both support trucks and Payen's bike. And maybe the team also prepared some posters around the 69 bivouac..
