How a Snow Explosion Looks Like

We've had quite a winter this year (globally, speaking) and in terms of car vs. snow and ice mishaps we've seen it all. Or, at least, this was what we believed, before stumbling upon this incredible video shot on a US highway.

For this video to come together, several elements had to come together in perfect sync. First off all, a lot of snow had to come down from the sky in the place where the truck you will see in the video below started from. The driver of the truck had to be one of those lazy truckers who loath cleaning the snow off their rigs.

Then, one of those guys who like to tape their car trips had to decide to take the exact same road as the truck (a highway in Illinois where, coincidentally, it is illegal to drive with your car, truck or whatever covered in tons of snow). Camera on, of course.

With these two elements combined, the only thing that was missing was an overpass, one high enough to let the rig pass, but not the snow. The explosive result can be seen in the video below.

Now, what we're wondering is what the guy driving behind the truck was thinking. He was obviously taping the truck on purpose, he obviously saw the mountain of snow on top of it and he most definitely saw the overpass approaching. And yet, he is not braking, not even slightly and not even when an avalanche of snow comes smashing against the windshield. Talk about some really, really cold blood.
