Hot Tesla Mum Tries to Park, Her Model X Mistakes Water Heater for Another Car

In the massive debate about Tesla's Autopilot being a beneficial feature or one that's dangerous due to being "ahead of its time", people tend to forget how awesome some of the sub-features are. Let's take parking for instance.

We've brought along a Model X video to illustrate this and no, this is yet another one of those videos when a driver summons his or her EV.

Instead, we're dealing with a Tesla mum aiming to park her Model X inside the family garage. The amusing part about this... fitment stunt is that the electric SUV "thinks" the water heater installed inside the garage is another car, with the dashboard display acting accordingly.

Humor aside, the Model X mum steps outside the vehicle once she's done parking, grabs a ruler and checks the accuracy of the distance shown on the dash. And, as you'll be able to see in the footage, the vehicle's calculations are pretty accurate.

Speaking of Tesla's Autopilot, we'll remind you that, starting next week, the Tesla Freemont factory will only assemble cars gifted with the hardware required to offer Level 5 autonomous driving.

To put things the way Elon Musk did, this means that, theoretically speaking, US roads are already populated by a few private Tesla that are able to go on a road trip from one cost to another relying on their own intelligence.

And while Tesla's self-driving system obviously haves its faults, it learns quickly and the most relevant question here probably has to do with how long it will tale the Palo Alto automaker to perfect the system to the point where ridiculous crashes pulled by human drivers will no longer be possible. Here's the latest example of such an accident - we're talking about a British crash we showed you earlier today, one that involves plenty of air time.

Update:It seems Bruce Parmenter (the user who dropped the comment below) doesn't agree with the "Hot Mum" part of the title above. Well, when it comes to the adjective here, it's all a matter of de gustibus non est disputandum. As for the mother aura of this Model X driver, we've added anothert video below that comes to confirm it (5:40 point).
