Hot Meals Behind the Wheel

If the last thing your car lacked was a device to heat up your meals, then you're surely the future fan of the In-Car Microwave launched by Maplin Electronics.

You can plug the 12V appliance into a car's cigarette lighter and then cook a pie in no more than 4 minutes or heat up a cup of coffee in about six minutes, The Daily Mail reported. In case you don't want to seal your car's cigarette lighter, you can easily connect the device to your car's battery. The black appliance is small enough to fit into the car's boot. Besides, if you choose the last alternative you get the bonus of heating up meals in half the time.

“The microwave ensures you can get a hot meal whether you are out for a day in the country, off to the beach or working at a remote site,” a company spokesman said adding that “You no longer have to worry about searching for places to eat as the microwave ensures you can plan your day as you want to and eat when you're hungry.”

The In-Car Microwave is made of steel and is operated by a LED touchscreen which is endowed with dedicated touch icons for popular foods and the option of setting the time manually, all these for £130.

If we are to listen to what Maplin says, the microwave is “tough enough to withstand all of the everyday knocks that you can expect when items get thrown in the back of the car.”

More importantly, the innovative creation “gives you the flexibility and freedom to enjoy hot food wherever and whenever you wish,” the spokesman added.

So, what more could you ask from an In-Car Microwave?
