Horror-Tuning: BMW 3 Series E30 Turned Into a Cruella-Mobile

Once upon a time this open top abomination was a perfect ‘80s BMW 3 Series, but its owner decided more class was needed. So he turned into something looking like Cruella Deville’s weekend car.
However, the owner had something else than Cruella’s cruiser in mind when decided to go this far as he named it the Gatsby BMW Cabriolet Custom. Such classic...

Most of the parts on this one-of-a-kind are from Gatsby Coachworks, including the extended front end, headlights, bumpers and side exhausts, most parts being taken off of an MG. Power is still supplied by a 1988 BMW 2.5-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a BMW 4-speed automatic transmission.

However, being a modernized Cruella-mobille, the Gatsby BMW comes with everything the original car had, like a manual convertible soft-top, cruise control, air conditioning, leather upholstery, power windows and mirrors, anti-theft system, an Alpine sound system and a wooden steering wheel to top it off.

Forgot to mention that this ‘retro-atrocity’ is for sale at Gateway Classic Cars and for $30,000 it can be yours if you want to be seen as a sir.

Normally, a vehicle model is considered classic 30 years after the last one exited the assembly line, but it seems this guy here wanted to speed things up.
