This year saw the second edition of Italy's Porsche Festival taking place and one of the most important pieces of news coming from the event has to do with Horacio Pagani's presence.
However, Mr. Pagani didn't come alone. Oh no. The festival, which took place over the weekend, saw the entire Pagani family enjoying some track time on the Autodromo Marco Simoncelli that served as the playground for those who wanted to enjoy their Porscha fetish.
And since this was no pedestrian gathering, the Paganis used their Porsche collection to cater to this specific transportation need. Horacio and his wife Cristina arrived in a recently-acquired Cayman GT4, but the family's pair of Zuffenhausen hypercars was also present - driven by the couple's sons, Leonardo and Christopher, the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder were a visual and aural delight.
The piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which comes from high-octane addicted spotter Marchettino, allows us to get a proper look at the Italian hostilities. And yes, you'll be able to zoom in on that Red GT4.
This episode gets even more interesting when you think about what's happening on the Nurburgring these days. To be more precise, we're talking about Pagani joining the Ring lap record bandwagon.
Using the otherworldly Huayra BC, the Italian automaker is flying on the Green Hell, trying to set a new lap record for production cars. As for the driver, the one manhandling the hypercar is GT racing driver Marc Basseng, who has multiple Nordschleife records in his trophy cabinet, such as those involving the Porsche Carrera GT or the Ferrari Enzo.
Will Pagani manage to steal the Porsche 918 Spyder's record (the gas-electric Porscha comes with a time of 6:57) before the 2016 season ends? All we know so far is that the testing adventures end in November.
