A Japanese corporation, primarily known as a manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles, Honda has recently announced their groundbreaking new luxury aircraft will be released for public sale next year. Currently base priced at $4.5 million U.S. (£2.67 million), HondaJet is expected to change the world of private aviation.
The company made the announcement during the three days of European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, which ended recently. The machine cruises at 430 knots (483 mph / 777 km per hour) and is considered one of the most silent personal aricrafts ever created. An actual sports car of the Sky, it's a light business jet designed to carry six to seven people.

One of the innovations HondJet has brought is its over-the-wing engine mount, considering most small jets have their engines mounted on the back. According to its creators, it is a breakthrough in aeronautics, engineered after more than 20 years of extensive research and development.

Along with the Natural Laminar Flow (NLF) technology, the over-the-wing engine mount provides category-leading advancements such as more spacious cabin, noise reduction and increased fuel efficiency.

Moreover, unlike many jets that use aluminum, the Japanese jet employs a lighter yet strong carbon fiber composite fuselage. This eagle has top of the edge line, including a dual touch-screen controllers and three 14-inch landscape high-resolution monitors that offer enhanced navigation, flight planning and control. The cockpit is unquestionably built around the pilot to enable either single-pilot or dual-pilot operation of the plane.

Honda Aircraft Company intends to produce and sell 70 to 100 jets per year, once the factory from Greensboro meets full productions schedule. For those interested, the exterior color choices are green, silver, red, yellow and blue. As we speak, they are in the process of building 9 aircrafts, and will start building the 10th one next month.
