Honda UK Launches Teaser Site for 2011 BTCC Season

Honda UK has launched a new website that is specially dedicated to the countdown of the Dunlop British Touring Car Championship start, which begins in just over two weeks' time on April 3rd, 2011.

The new site kick-starts the Honda Racing Team’s challenge for the 2011 Championship. Last year, they took two out of three titles, so the team is aiming for a clean sweep this year.

A countdown is ticking away the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the first race at Brand Hatch in Kent on Sunday, April 3rd. Alongside the clock is a video featuring ‘sneak-peek’ footage of Honda drivers Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden during pre-season testing.

Honda has promises that from April 1st, the site will develop into a content-rich, interactive portal with behind-the-scenes stories, images and videos, live updates during each qualifying sessions and race weekend, plus insights into the team drivers and competitions to win Honda Racing prizes.

The launch of the website coincides with the introduction of two more social media channels to support the Honda Racing Team efforts in 2011. First off, the new Facebook page will allow fans to interact with drivers, ask questions, comment during races and learn more about the team and the Honda Civic race cars. Secondly, the team’s Twitter account will update followers on the latest from the workshop, the pit and paddock.

From the looks of things, the car will still be painted in Championship White paint, Honda’s traditional racing color. For now, enjoy the video preview of the 2011 car that was provided by the company.
