The current Honda Civic, which we tested a while back, is the kind of car which looks great from some angles, while from others it just looks awkward and disproportionate. Honda are probably aware of this, and in order to boost its visual appeal, they have launched a special Aero Pack, which is available on every model in the range.
The pack gives the car a sportier redesigned front bumper, while the rear bumper also gets an extra dose of sportiness, featuring the same treatment as on the front. In order to finish off the improved look of the Civic, Honda have also given it special alloys, called ‘Argon’, which are available either in 17-inch or 18-inch sizes.

We say that even with the special bumpers and new rims fitted, the Civic is still not as good looking as the car it replaces, and if Honda want to make a real impact on the European market, they need to get the 1.6-liter diesel engine into the car, and then start selling it.

It could also make do with a facelift, to correct some of the awkwardness which is undoubtedly driving away some more conservative European buyers, who would like a compact Honda, but can`t live with the looks.
