At the 2013 Security Expo 2013in New Delhi, India Honda showed their newest police bike in the shape of a CBR250R.
The bike was engineered in collaboration with IJS Electronics, a manufacturer of emergency vehicle warning accessories under the "Grand" brand name. The vehicle was created for patrolling purposes, and was loaded with high-efficiency LED police warning lights, a siren and PA system, and pretty much any other things one expects from a law enforcement bike.
A side case was also installed on the left-side rack, for storing papers and similar objects. A rather peculiar design choice, if you ask me, as slightly heavier loads inside it would affect bike balance and kind of reduce maneuverability.
According to Gaadi, the bike is also supplied with a police-spec helmet, too benefiting from a handsfree microphone to use with the PA while riding.
On the tech side, the Police-spec Honda CBR250R remained unchanged, and it offers 26 HP and 22.9 Nm (17 ft-lbs) of torque. The bike most likely addresses the Asian markets and possibly South American ones.
Not exactly sure how much use is a quarter-liter CBR against a speeding 600RR or similar bike, though...
