Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) announces the appointment of a new President, in the person of Yoshishige Nomura. Nomura-san replaces Tetsuo Suzuki, the man who led HRC during the last 5 years, and who will now lead a new team dedicated in creating and developing new motorcycles for the worldwide markets.
Mr. Nomura has been involved with Honda R&D and HRC since 1985, and he was part of the teams which created bikes such as the NR750, RC30 or the R45. In 1994 he moved over to HRC and spent 8 years as an Engine Project Leader, working on the RVF and RVT machines, and as Engine Technical Manager for the RC211V prototype.

Yoshishige Nomura returns to HRC after a 12-year absence, and at the ends of his speech, he also wanted to thank Spanish lubricants manufacturer and longtime partner Repsol, as 2014 marks the 20th year of collaboration between the two companies.

"This season we celebrate our 20th Anniversary with title sponsor Repsol, this long and distinguished partnership flourishes every year and we are very grateful to have such a wonderful technical, and commercial partner. Together we have shared a great deal of success, and I’d like to thank everyone at Honda and HRC, all our sponsors and technical partners for their valuable ongoing support. We will work hard to retain our crown as MotoGP World Champions in 2014," Nomura added.

It will be interesting to see how will Nomura-san and Nakamoto-san work together in the MotoGP and what sporting decisions will HRC make for the future.
