When I wrote a piece on the Ferrari/McLaren/Porsche hybrid supercar trio, I said the technology was going to trickle down into smaller and cheaper performance cars. Of course, Honda is going to jump the gun a little bit and is already developing the new NSX as a hybrid, but that's not all.
According to a report from motoring.com.au, the new Jazz / Fit will have a hardcore Type R model. Instead of going the turbo route to get more power, this will reportedly have a hybridized 1.5-liter engine with total output of 190 hp.

The drivetrain will also include a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which will enable the model to return 3.6L/100km if you're really careful with the throttle.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
