Honda reveals the they will be delivering an all-new bike for the European Junior Cup in 2013.
This announcement comes one month before the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, and this move might just be consistent with the trend of smaller, cheaper sporty bikes starting to be sold in the US. With bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the CBR250R, it looks like there is a growing customer segment for these machines, too.

As far as rumor goes this new bike could be developed along the lines of the old CB500 bike, and it could possibly be a CBR500-ish model, running a parallel twin engine with hopefully enough nifty features to be alluring.

There is no word on US plans for this bike, and for starters it looks like it's going to be an European treat only. There's one important issue though, related to pricing, since there are so many sporty bikes in the mid-segment: how cheap would this new bike have to be if Honda is looking to increase their market share on a somewhat significant level?

With only a month until the EICMA 2012, our dilemmas will surely get a proper answer soon.
