Honda Packs Up for Motorcycle Live

After the stunning feat achieved at this year’s EICMA show in Milan, Japanese manufacturer Honda is getting ready to rock the upcoming Motorcycle Live event at the NEC (November 27 – December 5). The company’s agenda includes the British debut of its new-for-2011 models, three world exclusive announcements, as well as star rider and celebrity appearances.

But is not all that Honda has up its sleeve for the event, as it also prepares audience interactive entertainment and ‘Happy Hour’ at the weekends, ‘My First Licence’ for children, race team ‘workshops’ with BSB Championship winning team HM Plant Honda and, an exclusive competition in association with Sony to win prizes such as a Honda CB600F Hornet.

A range of Honda bikes will also be available to test ride out on the roads, with some of Honda’s 125cc geared machines and scooters further available in the ‘Get On’ indoor area where people can learn more about life on two wheels.

MotoGP star Dani Pedrosa, this year’s BSB Champion Ryuichi Kiyonari, World Superbike ace Jonathan Rea, TT legend John McGuinness and many more, will all be available to spend time chatting with visitors within the Honda village.

The 2011 Honda Hornet, offered as a prize, debuted strongly in Milan, with visitors form all over the world getting charmed by the naked machine. The 599cc 36.6 cu in) liquid-cooled inline-four cylinder DOHC engine produces a maximum power output of 102 hp and maximum torque of 63.5 Nm.

The exhaust system is positioned under the engine for better weight distribution, while the new dual-bulb headlight features low beam and high beam positioned one over the other behind a polycarbonate lens. he LED taillight is integrated into the tail and the turn signals feature smoked lenses and amber bulbs.
