Honda NC700 Line-UP Rumored to Receive Bigger Engines

Honda could show an updated engine for their NC700 family at the upcoming 2013 EICMA in Milan, Italy, rumor (and InSella) has it.
Industry whispers claim that the power plant of the NC700S, X and Integra could take a displacement hike and jump from 670cc to 720cc, justifying the new "750" badge.

Power is said to remain the same, in the 42 HP range to comply with the A2 license restrictions. This means a more nimble engine in the low and mid-rpm range, which is of course, very cool when riding off the road.

The same industry sources claim that Honda could equip their (semi)automatic Dual Clutch Transmission on the S and X models as of the next year. This move might be triggered by the fact that so far the DCT bikes seem to sell better than the slightly lower priced manual ones. Not sure if automatic gearboxes are the very thing people are waiting from Honda now, however.

Honda's CTX middleweight machine is said to remain unchanged as far as engine is concerned, most likely because the first bikes are scheduled to cross the pond into North America in few month's time.

The truth will be known on November 7 as the 2013 EICMA kicks off.
