Honda Motorcycles Get New Insurance Cover in the UK

A new bike insurance scheme has been launched by Honda’s British division, bringing benefits to those who purchase both new and used machines from nationwide Honda dealers. The new Honda Happiness Bike Insurance cover provided by Equity provides complimentary seven-day cover, a valuable no claims bonus protection scheme and accident repair service.

The new accident repair service is a first for Honda Bike Insurance, with all repairs being guaranteed for three years, made by Honda trained technicians and using only Honda Genuine Parts. The claims helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

There are also other advantages included in the new offering from Honda, such as a valuable no claims bonus protection scheme, insurance premium discounts for advanced riding qualifications and multi-bike discounts. Honda Happiness Bike Insurance can also offer cover for helmet and leathers, personal accident and UK and European breakdown assistance.

“Our new insurance service provided by Equity is one of the most comprehensive on the market and the overall package represents real value and benefit to our customers, which is the most important thing to us at Honda,” Steve Martindale, General Manager of Honda (UK) Motorcycles, said in a release.

Earlier this week, Honda UK also announced a new fixed price servicing plan for those who purchase the VFR1200F machine. There have been over fifty VFR1200F bikes sold in the UK in the first two weeks of sale alone, the bike becoming a best seller on the local market in February.

With scheduled servicing of 8,000 miles or annually, this new three year package covers the first four services (600, 8,000, 16,000 and 24,000 miles) for a one-off payment of just £575. Moreover, the service plan is also transferrable to another owner should the bike be sold.
