The production version of Honda’s stylish people carrier Jade has been unveiled at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show.
Honda claims that the Jade was specially developed for the Chinese market and it is based on the Concep S, shown by the automaker last year during the 2012 Beijing Motor Show. But don’t make a long face yet, as the MPV will be available worldwide.

“Honda introduced the JADE, a mass-production vehicle based on the Concept S, which was also introduced at the Beijing Motor Show last year. Featuring an innovative design developed based on an image of jade stone with a beautiful exterior look and noble sense of quality within, the JADE will satisfy diverse customer needs from everyday use to holiday driving”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.

The Chinese market will be the first to benefit from the new Jade, which will be available from September this year, the car being built by Guangzhou-Honda JV.
