Honda GP250R Cafe Racer by Darrell Schneider Restorations

The GP250R Cafe Racer is the perfect example of what can 20 year of auto restoration mean when transposed into the world of motorcycles. This is the personal project of Darrell Schneider of DS Restorations, a personal experiment later transformed into a most captivating endeavor. The result is far from anything we could have anticipated from a donor Honda CRF250R and by all means, we totally love it.

While most other bike customizers are trying to work on the existing designs, Darrell Schneider is one of the few who try to remaster shapes and turn everything the way he feels like, in complete disregard of the initial construction. With absolutely every part of the bodywork painstakinlgy manufactured by hand, creating a bike with an amazing personality was simply to be expected.

RaceTech and Durelle Racing suspensions were fitted, with brake tech rotors and Honda CBR600 calipers loaded on custom mounts, while the Talon hubs replaced the old ones inside the Sun rims. A Darrel-modified Arrow silencer sits under the seat and custom subframe, while the strikingly bold paint job of the DSR GP250R Cafe Racer evokes the vivid racing color-schemes of yore.

While impossible to trace back to the original CRF250R, Darrel Schneider's bike is indeed one machine both youngsters and old-timers would definitely ride like the stole it.
