Honda Eye Brings Carnival Theme to Goodwood With Ferris Wheel

Honda has revealed the first giant wheel ever to be featured at Goodwood Festival of Speed, as the upcoming event will see the 40-meter tall Honda Eye, which has a total of 24 pods, giving visitors a view of the event they have never had before.

The Honda Eye will be open throughout the Festival, running in 10 minute rotations from 9am until 6pm. The Japanese carmaker must have been in a charitable mood, because each visitor to Goodwood will be allowed as many turns as he likes on the attraction, free of charge.

That means there will likely be a cue forming, so you can get a fast-track pass for the ride and access to further information on the event at www.honda.co.uk/goodwood.

Honda will be showcasing a range of cars in the Moving Motor Show - amongst them the special edition Civic Ti and BTCC replica race car. Motorsport enthusiasts will also be catered to by Honda TT legends John McGuinness and teammate Keith Amor, who will be attending with the CBR1000RR, the bike that did the fastest ever lap of the Isle of Man circuit. Visitors will also be able to see Gordon Shedden's British Touring Car Championship race car, along with the new Crossrunner motorcycle and CBR600RR.

If you'er looking for a bit of factory tuning action, the Mugen-modified CR-Z will make its debut at Goodwood, featuring a 200 hp hybrid powerplant and a 110-pound wight-loss regime. Visitors will be given the opportunity to see this one-off prototype, before any other members of the public.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
