Honda CRF450 Rally Still Leading in Morocco

Team HRC must be extremely proud seeing the new machinery they've readied for Dakar 2104 performing well in the last major, real-life test before the grueling South American ordeal. Paulo Goncalves took the second Stage of the OiLibya Rally of Morocco and is now leading.

"Speedy" Golvcalves was the fastest rider in Stage 2, and now he has a very small advantage over his team mate Joan Barreda. KTM's Marc Coma finished the second stage 2 minutes behind Goncalves.

After the initial leg of the OiLibya Rally of Morocco saw the riders navigating sand dunes, Stage 2 was full of rocky mountain terrain and navigation skills have also been put to the test, and KTM and Honda placed every other position. Sunderland, Barreda and Pizzolito placed 3rd, 5th and 7th, while Lopez, Graham, Caselli and Faria came in 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th, respectively.

The OiLibya Rally of Morocco Stage 3 sees 250 km (155 miles) of special stage, and 163 km (101 miles) of liasion.
