The OiLibya Rally of Morocco is underway already and it looks like Honda's new CRF450 Rally is showing real off-road racing attitude, as Joan "Bang Bang" Barreda won the first leg of the year's latest race.
He was joined by his team mates Paulo Gonçalves and Hélder Rodrigues, who came in third and fourth, while Javier Pizzolito and Sam Sunderland finished sixth and seventh. Marc Com was second aboard his Red Bull KTM, while another KTM rider, Chaleco Lopez squeezed into the 5th position.
Today's stage of the Morocco Rally brings in 58 km (36 miles) of liaison and 240 km (149 miles) of special stage. If Honda maintains this pace, we may be in for quite a battle in the upcoming 2014 Dakar.
