We don’t really hear much about the Honda CR-Z these days. Maybe the hybrid craze has gone down, or maybe people realized the back seats are useless and the boot is tiny. But despite its faults, it’s still a cool-looking car.
The two-door hybrid model from Honda has been appreciated by some and criticized by others. But in Australia it’s getting awards. More specifically, the CR-Z has won the 2012 Design Award in the Automotive and Transport category of the prestigious Australian International Design Awards.
The award ceremony in Sydney was attended by Honda Australia’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Satoshi Matsuzawa and Principal Adviser, Mr. Lindsay Smalley, who accepted the award.
“The Australian International Design Awards are a respected and prestigious award within the design industry. It is a great honour to receive an award of this calibre for the CR-Z. The CR-Z is truly in a class of its own, with styling that turns heads, advanced fuel efficiency and a drive that is fun, exciting and engaging. We are very proud to add another important and prominent award to our trophy cabinet,” Mr. Smalley said.
