Last year at the SEMA Show, Honda Performance Development (HPD) revealed a new line of street performance accessories and parts for the CR-Z Sport Hybrid Coupe model and the final component in the range just made it on the market now - the much awaited supercharger kit.
The new supercharger is available now at Honda dealers across the Unites States for both the 2013 and 2014 CR-Z model. It comes with an HPD air-to-air intercooler, high-flow fuel injectors, an ECU calibrated to meet CARB AT-PZEV regulations with 91 octane fuel as well as the supercharger itself and a performance air filter system.

Price for the whole trickery is set at $5,495 without install charges. However, if you chose to install the kit at the dealership, for almost the same price as other Honda supercharging kits, you’ll get a 5 year/60,000 mile Honda limited powertrain warranty.

Of, forgot the best part... The stock 2013/2014 CR-Z is good for 130 hp with the manual transmission. Fitting it the supercharging kit ups the power to 197 hp - which is almost the same you get from a Toyota GT 86.

To also hone the car’s maneuverability, HPD can hook you up with sport dampers, coil springs with reduced ride height, 300 mm diameter disc brakes as well as bigger 18-inch rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
