Honda has announced that no less than 554,000 CR-V and Pilot SUVs will have to be recalled from the United State market because they have a flaw with the wiring in the headlights.
"There is a potential failure with the wiring of the headlight switch which may cause the low beam headlights to become inoperative," Honda says in the official statement.
No crashes have been attributed to the error, but the recall is massive, affecting all of the vehicles built between 2002 and 2004 model years in case of the CR-V and for the 2003 model year in the Pilot.
Owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by Honda later next month.
Only last week did we tell you about a recall affecting certain CR-V models built for the 2006 model year due to a serious problem - the weld that holds the right front lower control arm might give way.
