Honda Civic Type R Mugen 200 Limited Edition Comes in April

Starting this April, UK roads will see a new version of the Civic Type R, the Mugen 200, a car built with unique body parts, wheels and badging. The name of the limited edition contains the number in which the car will be built (200), all available for order starting March.

According to PistonHeads, the new Mugen Type R will feature Honda's i-VTEC engine, which develops 198 hp, the standard engine on the windon-built Type R.

What will set the limited edition apart from the regular production versions include Mugen front and rear bumpers, complete with skirts, 19-inch alloy wheels in 'Lightning' design and a Mugen rear badge.

Additionally, a Mugen limited edition number plaque, limited slip differential, Championship White exterior paint and Gloss black door mirrors are also being offered.

According to the manufacturer, several other tuning parts, intended for the chassis and not only, will also be available.

The car is also intended to celebrate the 2010 launch of Honda's BTCC team, who will compete in cars which will feature a white and black color scheme similar to the one on the Mugen 200 limited edition. Prices for the Type R Mugen 200 have not yet been released.

The limited edition comes after last year Honda and Mugen announced a 20 units release of a 240 PS Type R. Priced at 38,599 British pounds, this version of the Type R has raised quite an interest, as Mugen announced earlier this month nearly half of the 20 cars have already been ordered.
