Rumor has it Japanese automaker Honda is planning to introduce a sporty version of the Civic Tourer wagon, after the production vehicle is unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
According to Autocar, the sporty Civic Tourer will wear the Type S badge and sit on stiffer, lower suspension than the standard wagon. In addition, it could gain a Type R-inspired body kit and and wider tracks.

The 2014 Honda Civic Tourer, which was spotted by our photographers back in April, will arrive in dealerships in early 2014 and will be built alongside the hatchback model in Honda’s production facility in Swindon, Wiltshire. The wagon will be available with the very same choice of four engines, two petrol and two diesel, as the Civic hatch.

As for the Civic Tourer Type S, the vehicle will probably receive the familiar naturally-aspirated 1.8-liter four-cylinder with delivers 140 hp and 174 Nm of torque.
