With the 2018 Nurburgring seasons now behind us, the time has come to remind you of some of the most intense episodes that took place on the Green Hell this year. And while we've brought along a compilation showcasing the highlights of the season, this isn't all.
Some of you might be familiar to many of the stunts seen here, since we've showcased them as they happened throughout the year, as is the case with the Corvette Z06 crash that demonstrated the ignorance of the driver and passenger.

Sure, the piece of footage showcasing all the adventures can be found at the bottom of the page, but, as we mentioned in the intro, we want to focus on a particluar scene.

This doesn't involve a special vehicle. On the contrary, we're looking at an aging Honda Civic, the kind that you might just be able to buy by breaking the piggy bank.

Regardless, the hatchback can bee seen tackling the Brunnchen 2 corner, or at least trying to do so, since the compact didn't get through the bend in one piece.

We can see the driver choosing an odd line through the said corner, albeit witout carrying excessive speed into the bend.

Nevertheless, the aficionado behind the wheel decided to lift off the gas mid-corner when noticing the vehicle starting to understeer. This caused the rear end to lose grip and come loose.

Alas, the driver panicked and stepped on the brakes, which only amplified the sliding movement. And it didn't take long until the Civic went into the guardrail nose-first.

Getting back on the gas, sustained by countersteering, could've helped save the day.

Note that you can find the said Honda adventure at the 27:10 point of the clip, even though the rest of the video is also worthy of your attention.

P.S.: Here are the changes the Nurburgring is getting for 2019.
