While it’s mostly known as a testing and record setting facility, the Nurburgring track is also the scene several car crashes, most of them caused by amateur drivers that bring their cars at the Nordschleife for a little fun.
One of these unfortunate accidents happened just a few days ago and involved an older Honda Civic hatchback and a driver that probably put too much pedal to the metal. As you’re going to see below in just a few seconds, the vehicle went through two high-speed head-on impacts, ultimately becoming a “hatchfront” as well.

Fortunately, the Japanese car was fitted with a roll-cage, a piece of equipment that might have saved the driver’s life. According to the YouTube user that posted the footage, the driver left the car unscathed, but we have a feeling he was pretty shook up after the collision.

While we feel sorry for the car, we couldn’t be more happier to report that no one was hurt and we really hope we won’t have do that anytime soon.
