Honda Civic Crossover to Debut in 2013

Unlike the US version of the Honda Civic, the European one has had a successful debut, with Honda having extremely important plans for the compact vehicle. These include the introduction of a crossover based on the Civic, which is scheduled to hit the European market in 2013, as Auto Express writes.

The vehicle will borrow a multitude of elements from the Civic and will be slotted under the CR-V. Under the hood, it is expected to use the same units as the hatchback version of the Civic.

This means that customers will be able to choose between three engines: two petrols and a diesel. The entry-level powerplant should be a 1.4-liter i-VTEC with 100 hp, followed by a 1.8-liter i-VTEC with 142 hp, while oil burning fans should get a 2.2-liter i-DTEC unit providing 150 hp.
