The neon-green paint covering the Honda Civic Concept looks like the Hulk after he went radioactive, and that's not even hinting at an emission-free green car. No way Jose, because Honda is all about sportiness and sharp looks.
We have a generous photo gallery to prove that, so I'd rather skip right to Civic Concept's purpose than stating the obvious in terms of design.

Therefore, here's what you need to know. The Civic Concept is a preview for the 10th-generation 2016 Honda Civic that will hit the market as coupé, sedan, hatchback, SI and (hooray), Type-R.

"The new Civic will be, flat out, the most dynamic, the most technologically advanced and the most refined and stylish Civic we've ever made. In every way, this will be an epic Civic," said John Mendel, executive vice president, Automobile Division, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

Before testing those claims, let's hear what Honda has to say about performance. Well, the new 2016 Civic will sit on an efficiency-oriented compact platform and will embrace new Earth Dreams Technology powertrains. A new 1.5-liter VTEC turbo engine with direct injection will be available under the hood. The unit is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission, but Honda will also produce a new continuously variable transmission (CVT) for improved fuel efficiency ratings.

Both the engine and the CVT will be built on American soil - in Ohio, to be more precise - but the Japanse also learned their lesson in terms of safety features and driver assistance systems. Therefore, the 2016 Civic will offer a neat package including Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Multi-Angle Rearview camera.

We didn't get more information from Honda, but those interested in buying the new 2016 Civic will have to wait until this fall to get the car in the United States.
