We brought you live photos of the Honda City Adventure scooter concept that was introduced in November at EICMA 2015. Back then, Honda hadn't made any guesstimations as to what the future of this two-wheeler might hold, but according to the latest rumors, the City Adv is set to become a production scooter.
The news apparently broke at the recent moto show in France's capital Paris. Honda France officials have declared that the City Adventure is expected to be turned into a mass-produced scooter that is scheduled for 2017.
This means that, with a bit of luck, we might get to see Honda unveil it in its final form less than one year from today, at the EICMA 2016. If Honda indeed plans to have the City Adv as a 2017 model year scooter, then this assumption gains plausibility.
The Honda official has said that, most likely, the tires will not be as aggressive as the ones the City Adventure has in the shows, and that the calipers will probably not be Nissin.
No other details have been given, regarding the tech specs, storage and all, but judging by the people's reactions, the City Adv will not pass unnoticed. And if Honda manages to retain the off-road attributes of this scoot and makes it "nervous" enough for more serious dirt fun, we may be looking at a machine with a great commercial potential.
