Honda City Adventure in Camo Livery Spotted in Traffic

Honda's all-terrain scooter City Adventure or City ADV was spotted in traffic in the Italian capital Rome. We brought you live photos of the machine from EICMA 2015 where Honda unveiled it last autumn, and later info revealed that it would be introduced as a 2017 model in Honda's line-up.

Now, we understand that the City ADV scoot Honda showed at EICMA in November last year was more than a concept. We were, in fact, looking at a scooter that was already close to being production-ready, and not just a prototype meant to make the imagination run wild.

The City Adv is alive and kicking, and Honda is testing it on the streets of northern Italy, and we cannot help thinking about seeing it launched earlier than November. The camo livery also suggests that Honda may be preparing different color schemes for the City Adventure than the silver/green combination revealed at EICMA.

Frankly, with the popularity such a two-wheeler might grow to quite rapidly, seeing Honda offering it in several bold colors/graphic schemes would only make a lot of sense.

If anything, we saw the recent Navi scooter Honda unveiled at the Auto Expo Show in Delhi and showed no less than three versions of the bike. Not only Honda had a different color option for each but they were also daring and assertive.

We can't see any impediment for Honda continuing in this direction with the City Adventure, especially as it integrates exceptionally well with the new trend for House Tokyo.

Still no word on the engine side

The engine that will be used in the City Adventure still remains a well-kept secret. The Japanese makers did not offer any information last year at EICMA and don't seem too eager to do so now either.

Most of the rumors see the City Adventure being powered by the 750cc twin-cylinder mill used in the NC series. That would put the City ADV in the same family as the Integra, without this being a downside.

If Honda manages to endow the City ADV with real off-road capabilities in terms of ground clearance, protection, and suspensions, this all-terrain scooter might be a fantastic addition to the range and even a trend-setter in the industry.
