Honda have given their sporty hybrid, the CR-Z, a mild refresh, for the 2013 model-year, and now the updated model is available for order in the United Kingdom, with prices starting from £20,550, and rising all the way up to £23,050. The car still has the old 1.5-liter petrol engine, yet it now produces slightly more power (up 7 hp, to 121 hp).
The electric motor is also a bit more powerful than in the previous version of the car, gaining an extra 6 hp, for a new output of 20 hp. With a combined output of 137 hp and 190 Nm of torque, the 0-62 mph sprint is dispatched in a tenth over nine seconds, in the Sport model, while the GT model does it in 9.5 seconds. Top speed remains at 124 mph / 200 km/h.
Buyers of the revised car will notice slight styling changes operated to the exterior of the car, yet for those who don`t already know the car, an example of the old model will have to be placed alongside, for the modifications to really stand out.
Two new paint finish colors are now available, called Aurora Violet and Energetic Yellow. Also, inside the cabin, Honda has left everything virtually untouched, the most notable change being the redesigned door cards, which now have more available storage space.
