Here's one more in the realm of small-displacement motorcycles: Honda (thailand) has just announced a new 125cc-class bike, the MSX125, with the lettering standing for Mini Street Xtreme.
Given the name, the character of the new Honda is rather easy to guess: a small and brawny motorcycle bringing closer together few key elements, such as very good fuel economy, supermotard genes and the convenience of an all-rounder perfect for commuting, school, city errands and all.
The Honda MSX125 has an exposed engine, making it a naked bike, but the plastic bodywork is quite bold and adds tot he style. After watching the ad, we're not sure how much room will the long seat still offer for the pillion with a guy that's not tiny.
This new bike claims 10 hp at 7000 rpm and 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) and weighs around 100 kg (220 lbs). The 12” rims are shod with quite chunky tires but the bike really looks nice and compact, maybe a bit too much on the small side.
The MSX125 is expected in the second half of 2013, with Honda claiming it will sell worldwide. No matter what, we just don't see this one making it to the US, just like the Wave (seemingly, its base model for inspiration) hasn't.
