Holden Captiva Seven-Seater SUV Launched

GM's Australian division Holden has just announced the introduction of a mid-size seven-seater version of the popular Captiva SUV, together with a few changes affecting the whole product range.

First of all, the Captiva SX will now be offered as a seven-seater, offering more interior space than the other models. In addition, Holden says the model has been especially equipped with advanced equipment to provide increased safety to all occupants as well as better fuel economy on the two-wheel drive manual version.

As mentioned, Holden upgraded the whole Captiva range, adding new features as standard as it follows: Captiva SX (2WD & AWD) received a third row seats and automatic headlamp mode which switches on automatically at low light while Captiva LX (AWD) got a rear view camera and leather stick shift. The Captiva CX (AWD) was also upgraded with the same automatic headlamp mode installed on the SX.

Pricing was upgraded as well, with the cheapest Captiva now costing $35,490 in the SX 2WD 2.0L diesel manual version. The most expensive model is now the Captiva LX AWD 2.0L Diesel Auto sold for $44,990. Here is the upgraded pricing list for the whole Captiva range:

  • Captiva SX 2WD 2.0L Diesel Man / Auto $35,490 / $37,490
  • Captiva SX AWD 3.2L Petrol V6 Auto $38,490
