HJC Shows Three New Helmets under $200

HJC announces three new affordable lids withe retail prices under the $200 (€148) mark, great for both beginning riders and more. Two of these are for street use, while the third is for MX/ off-road use.

The CL-17 is offered for under $140 (€103) in its solid color version, and the price reaches one cent short of $150 (€111) for the Rubbertone and graphics models. The CL-17 comes with an Advanced Polycarbonate Composite shell, a Pinlock-ready RapidFires tool-less removal visor and advanced ventilation. Available in size XS through 5XL.

Next in line comes the IS-17, 150 grams lighter than the previous IS-16 version, sporting the same polycarbonate shell of the new CL, quick-changing visor, a 3-stage adjustable SunShield visor and SilverCool odor-free interior liner. Multiple venting ports also ensure better moisture wicking and cooling. The IS-17 is offered in sizes XS through XXL, starting at $179.99 (€133) and running as high as $189.99 (€140) for the Rubbertone version.

The new FG-X MX helmets are the most expensive in this new release, with an $189.99 - $199.99 (€140-148) price range. The shell is made from Kevlar-reinforced fiberglass and is compatible with aftermarket neck braces. The SilverCool liner is standard in all versions, while the large eye port offers both great visual range and perfect comfort wearing goggles.

IS-17 and FG-X have DOT and Snell certification, while CL-17 is DOT-compliant only.
