A while back I covered the most impressive BMW 1 Series Coupe ever made (in my humble opinion), the car that was dubbed Das Bat, based on its color (satin black) and aggressive looks.
Of course the rest of the modifications done to the car were also impressive, things like the complete 1M aerodynamic kit, a Mode Carbon rear diffuser, KSport Kontrol Pro coilovers, A&R catless downpipes, JB4 chip, Evolution Racewerks front mount and charge pipe, HID angel eyes and many many others.
Unfortunately, this past weekend, the car was involved in a mass hit and run incident in which 9 other cars were also involved. The car was identified but the police will have a hard time figuring out who was driving it.
Das Bat is now damaged beyond repair on the driver’s side and, according to its owner, will get a new conversion, rising from its own ashes like the Phoenix. Check out the recollection of the events, in the owner's own words.
