Hispano Suiza's Return: 750 HP Audi R8 V10 at Geneva

If you're one of the many car aficionados out there, the name Hispano Suiza surely rings a bell to you. The Spanish automaker, whose history can be traced back to the early 1900s, will come back to life at the Geneva Auto Show that opens its doors next week.

The venue will witness the introduction of a restyled Audi R8 V10 which, according to figures provided by Hispano Suiza to AutoBild, develops 750 horsepower, thanks to the addition of a supercharger plus other modifications on the engine.

In other words, the car can sprint from naught to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, while the maximum speed goes around 205 mph (330 km/h).

And that's not all. It appears that the Spanish/French automaker is also pondering a possible hybrid flavor of the car that would obviously bring an extra boost of power. Details are not disclosed but rumors are suggesting that such an addition could add 150 horsepower plus the ability to travel on pure electricity.

The only pictures we have are the ones included in the picture gallery, as the company only rolled out this renderings probably in an attempt to stir up interest before the official display at the show.

autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
