Hill Sees Schumacher Winning Races in 2011

Former F1 champion Damon Hill believes it's just a matter of time until Michael Schumacher gets back into the winning carousel in the series. Although the German driver practically stripped him of a world title back in 1995, the Brit carries no resentments over the situation and is trustful that the 41-year old will “win some races” next season.

Talking to the media during the recent BRDC awards, Hill did not agree with the overall view of Schumacher's return to the series – most critics believed he made a foul out of himself, recording his worst F1 campaign in career – and emphasized the toughness of making a comeback into racing after 3 years of vacationing.

I don't think he disgraced himself at all,” Hill said during the aforementioned event, according to ESPNF1.

He showed that it's hard to come back. I think it's hard also to maintain pace as you get older and he'll have had things to think about I'm sure but he never gives up, that's what defines him. I'm sure he just sees this as another challenge and he's going to prove us all wrong and win some races next year.”

However, as far as the “title favorites for next season” discussion goes, the former world champion still sees Sebastian Vettel as one of the main contenders, as he has all the attributes to become a multiple world champion, alongside McLaren duo Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

Talking to the same ceremony, triple world champion Sir Jackie Stewart also sees the McLaren duo as the drivers to watch next year, but throws in another interesting name to the mix, Mark Webber.
