A few months ago we saw what instantly became our favorite smart fortwo commercial ever. Called simply “Offroad”, it apparently called such a online stir that it is now one of the nominees for an Automobile Advertisement of the Year Award.
Producers of the One Show Awards are the ones behind the advertising prize, which was created in order to recognize creative excellence in five categories: Print and Outdoor, Broadcast TV, Online Videos, Interactive and Experiential Advertising.
Apart from those, there is also a Public Choice Award, in which fans will vote their favorite car-related advertisement.
The winners will be presented on-stage at a special even that will take place during the North American International Auto Show, on January 14, 2014, in Detroit.
The smart fortwo “Offroad” ad, created by BBDO Germany, is nominated in the Broadcast TV category, where it will have to battle with five other automobile commercials from other manufacturers.
