Some say that one man's trash is another man's treasure. Others say that practical men despise the tales while earnest men condemn them as lies. In Teg Sethi's case, buying a Jeep Grand Cherokee only to find out that it's a lemon can be classified as a mistake. A funny one at that.
The story goes like this. In October 2013, a guy in Australia named Teg Sethi bought the lemon-grade Jeep Grand Cherokee you can see in the picture above. He paid 60,000 Australian dollars for it, which is roughly $42,325 at current exchange rates. Little did he know he paid a lot for what can be described as a sour ownership experience (pun intended).

Teg tells that he's had numerous issues with the American-built mid-size SUV, yet the 32-year-old businessman doesn't describe the nature of those issues. It "has been towed a number of times," and "I no longer trust it to transport my family safely" are the details Teg shared in the description of a video titled "I Made a Mistake I Bought a Lemon Jeep." Is this story for real or a fake?

The Australian contacted FCA Australia for an opinion on this viral video to find if Mr. Sethi is here for his 15 minutes of fame or for a bit of public shaming. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia declared that it would not discuss individual customers, adding that the company "takes our obligations to our customers seriously and their satisfaction is our number one priority. FCA Australia will continue to work on improving customer satisfaction and service." That equals to "Damn it, why didn't we give this guy a full refund to shut his mouth?"

Speaking to the publication, Sethi told reporters that the problems he experienced with his Grand Cherokee included burning smells, steering that constantly pulled to the left, and the vehicle going into limp mode for unknown reasons. To prove a point, Teg Sethi spent 8,000 Australian dollars on the professionally produced music video below, featuring dancers, a smoke machine, and a man dressed in a life-sized lemon suit, LOL.

On an ending note, this is what happens when an automaker refuses to refund or replace a lemon. Compared to Nick Murray's Nine-A-Lemon case, Mr. Sethi opted for a more *cough* flamboyant *cough* way of proving his point, yet we have to give it to Teg that he's a master lyricist. Press play and enjoy!

Editor's note: Insert the "When life gives you lemons" joke here. Pun intended.
