Hilarious Car Wash Mishap Turns Car Wash Mobile

What happens when you try to fit a large Ford van through a car wash that is only meant for smaller vehicles, even though you didn’t know it? You make the car wash mobile, apparently.

The incident in the video at the bottom of the page actually dates back to April this year, but it’s just now that it’s being picked up by the local British media. And with good reason, too: it’s one of those mishaps that never gets old.

In it, a fellow motorist and his passenger pull out of the parking lot of a gas station, rushing towards the nearby car wash. Whatever they know, the viewer finds out soon: the two were attracted (most likely) by the loud bang caused by the driver of a red Ford van, which just pulled out of the car wash.

When it did so, it took with it the entire frame on which the rotating brushes are fixed, in what is perhaps the world’s first, totally non-functional mobile car wash. It’s hilarious but it doesn’t look as bad as you might think. Too bad it doesn’t work anymore. The reaction of one of the blokes filming this best sums up this incident: “oh dear oh dear oh dear!”

“My friend and I couldn't stop laughing when we drove past this, now mobile, car wash,” reads the caption of the video, as posted by Viral Hog the other day. It doesn’t say where exactly in England this happened, but that’s not even that relevant in the end.

The driver of the van probably had a very rough time that day, having to deal with the owner of the establishment over the damage he caused, telling his boss he wouldn’t make it on time because, well, he had car wash brushes stuck to his van.
