Historic Italian manufacturer Moto Guzzi released a new set of high-resolution photos of is 2014 model year V7 machines: the V7 Racer, V87 Special and V7 Stone. All the Moto Guzzi V7 machines share the same platform, based on a rather old, but proven tubular steel double cradle frame which is also responsible for the upright riding stance. At the heart of these bikes - the iconic, unmistakable longitudinal shaft v-twin engine, packing a 744cc displacement and delivering 50 hp and 58 Nm (42.7 lb-ft) of torque, sporting a Weber-Marelli EFI system and breathing though a 3-way catalytic exhaust.
The bikes come with a manual 5-speed gearbox mated to the brand’s patented Compact Reactive Shaft Drive via a dry clutch. Brembo brakes are standard for the 18”/17” wheels in the front and rear while the 22-liter (5.8 US gal) tank provides a great range, making these bikes exceptionally suitable for daily rides and vacations, as well.
The V7 Racer has a retro shiny, polished aluminium livery with leather accents, while the V7 Stone is dressed in solid colors. The V7 Special brings in the racing stripes and the vibe of the 70’s. Base prices start under $9,000 (€6,490), with numerous aftermarket add-ons available as well, such as Arrow exhausts, windscreens, panniers and more.
