It may not be as popular as Aston Martin’s cooperation with the movie franchise, but Swiss watchmaker Omega has been collaborating with the James Bond saga for quite a while now. And since Spectre’s official release is a couple of months away, the premium watchmaker has unveiled a limited edition collection created after the same model Daniel Craig is wearing on set.
In other words, a rare chance has appeared and it may come to your interest. You will soon be able to own something that is not just James Bond-worthy, but that the latest British spy actually wore in the movie. And you know what the best part is? It won’t cost you an arm and a leg either. Before we do look at the newest model, we should take a step back first.
According to Omega, the Seamaster has been James Bond’s watch since Golden Eye. With its naval history and classic style, the watch was meant to reflect Bond’s character. Why did we mention this model? Because the new model is based on the same timepiece. The watch features a bi-directional, rotating diving bezel, made from black, polished ceramic, combined with a Liquid Metal 12 hour scale.
Other unique features include the “lollipop” central seconds hands, as well as the 5-stripe black and grey NATO strap. On the bracelet’s strap holder, the 007 gun logo has been engraved. Inside, there’s an extremely innovative Omega Master Co-Axial caliber 8400 driving the watch.
Other than the fact that the Spectre timepiece will be limited to 7,007 pieces you’ll want to know it hits stores starting this September. There’s no word on the price tag so far, but like we said, it’s probably a lot cheaper than an actual Aston Martin.
