Wait, Pininfarina designed a Rolls-Royce that’s based on the Drophead Coupe model? Now that must be a hell of a ride. Perhaps it is. We have no first-hand account on this, but we can tell you this much: the one-of-a-kind luxury ride is for sale.
The renowned Italian Design House Pininfarina took a Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe and breathed into it some of that distinctive flavor that defined legends such as the Ferrari 599 GTM, Daytona, and 288 GTO. They’ve only done it once and named the result Hyperion, just like one of the Titans of Greek mythology.

They wanted to reproduce the proportions of vintage cars, so the style and line of the body had to be completely revised. The hood was redesigned and built so that it folds under a wood-veneer cover. Meanwhile, the driving position was moved back, and the rear seats have been eliminated. Oh, yes, there’s only room for two in this luxury beauty.

The front may come with the classic Rolls-Royce grill, but it is mounted at an angle. The upper trapezoid part links up to the bonnet and windscreen, thus allowing the vehicle to drive aerodynamically. The inset headlights and LED technology emphasize both elegance and technological value.

Once you get past the front part of the vehicle, that’s when you really feel Pininfarina’s touch. The tail is here to talk about legendary sports “berlinettas” of the 1950s and 1960s. It slopes downwards with a flat bottom, a touch that you also find in boat design.

Step inside, and the luxury factor meets new boundaries. Glamour culminates with the clock - which was created by Girard-Perregaux specifically for the Hyperion. It can be removed from the fascia and worn as a personal timepiece.

Sure, no creation of such grandeur could be complete without the proper materials. This is why the bodywork was made entirely of carbon fiber, offering precise geometries, high rigidity, and lightness. As we were saying earlier, the one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce is currently on sale at the Dubai-based luxury dealership Al-Ain Class Motors.
