Here’s the Electric Lotus Evija Hypercar in Stunning Red, Yellow and Black

When it unveiled the Evija electric hypercar in the summer of 2019, British carmaker Lotus was not very generous when it comes to releasing photos of it. Just a small batch of them made their way online, all showing the car mostly in boring silver.

As the carmaker moves closer to the start of production, the configurator for the car is getting its final tweaks, and that means more of the customization options for the vehicle have been revealed, including stunning new colors.

Allowing customers the chance to see their future car in a wide variety of environments, the configurator shows just how great the company’s first electric vehicle looks like when draped in some other hue - three new color options have been revealed for the car, namely Atomic Red, Solaris Yellow and Carbon Black and they all can be admired in the photo gallery above.

Priced from $2,070,000, the Evija is at the top of even the list of most expensive cars available, but the performance it promises is breathtaking.

Powered by four e-motors that combined develop an astonishing 2,000 PS of power and 1,700 Nm of torque, the hypercar accelerates from a standstill to 62 mph in under three seconds and tops at over 200 mph (322 kph).

The 70 kWh lithium-ion battery fitted inside gives it a range of 250 miles (402 km) and it can be recharged to 80 percent capacity using a 350 kW plug in 12 minutes.

Aside for the car itself, those going for one will also receive “a unique gift to reflect the exclusive and technical nature of the Evija” at regular intervals during the purchase process, and even a hand-crafted build book showing images and details from key moments of its assembly.

“We know every customer journey will be unique and our highly experienced customer relations team is ready to support any requests,” said in a statement Simon Clare, Lotus Executive Director for Global Marketing.

“With state-of-the-art digital tools such as the new configurator, we can accommodate customer preferences and requirements from anywhere in the world at the touch of a button.”

The configurator for the Evija is not yet up and running.
